What Actually Happened
Four days. That's how long it took for this call to meet reality. On April 16, Susquehanna raised ARM Holdings to $210—a juicy 26% upside from the $166 close that day. The thesis? Sparkling optimism about AI data centers and a $15 billion AGI CPU opportunity by 2031. ARM would be swimming in server revenue, they promised. The stock immediately yawned and dropped 1.2% the next session. Turns out the market had questions: Like, what's the actual TAM? And more importantly, does ARM have the execution chops to own 2031 when Nvidia already owns 2026? The upside case assumes years of flawless execution in the most competitive semiconductor space on Earth. History suggests betting on "flawless execution" is how you become a cautionary tale.
